Building a Better Alternative Addiction Recovery Program

I am an Army combat veteran and international security consultant with multiple small- to medium-sized business interests. Years ago, I made a promise to a former associate who lost his life to alcohol and drug abuse that I would take a closer look at recovery. To better understand the process firsthand, I admitted myself to a treatment center as a “relapser.” Those two weeks were eye-opening and inspired me to further research traditional recovery methods, including 12-step meetings. Through that experience, I recognized the need for a different path and eventually began developing an alternative addiction recovery program designed to address the unique needs of individuals seeking lasting change.

Drawing on personal experience, extensive research, and years of working with people in recovery, I founded a private recovery program that achieved a 28% failure rate after five years in an industry where success rates are often reported between 18% and 22%. The program focused on practical strategies, personal accountability, and sustainable lifestyle changes.

After 23 years of dedication to helping others, I stepped away to recharge and reassess the evolving needs of today’s world. I have since returned with updated materials and a more flexible approach better suited to modern lifestyles and digital communication. This refined alternative addiction recovery program allows individuals to remain productive at work and engaged at home while beginning their journey toward recovery and long-term personal growth.
